Web Summit 2026
Web Summit is one of Europe’s largest conferences (“the best tech conference in Europe”), connecting a new generation of founders with investors, media, and technology leaders from around the world.
Web Summit, considered one of Europe’s largest technology conferences, returns to Lisbon from 9 to 12 November 2026 at the MEO Arena. This 14th edition will once again cement the Portuguese capital as a meeting point for the international tech ecosystem, bringing together founders, startups, exhibiting companies, investors, media, and technology leaders from around the world.
Throughout the event, Web Summit offers programs and dedicated spaces for different attendee profiles, combining on-stage content, networking activities, and business opportunities. Its stages have featured top-tier figures such as Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI; Alexis Ohanian, co-founder of Reddit; Anton Osika, CEO of Lovable; António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations; Serena Williams, tennis player and entrepreneur; Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission; and Doug Leone, Managing Partner at Sequoia Capital, among many others.
Web Summit stands out especially for its startup program, aimed at high-potential early-stage projects and designed to connect them with investors, corporations, and global leaders. Selected startups gain access to an international community and dedicated initiatives to accelerate their growth, including:
- Pitch: a competition that brings together 105 startups in a live pitching battle in front of an independent panel of investors and global partners.
- Startup Masterclasses: sessions to learn directly from investors, accelerators, incubators, and executive leaders about the essentials of building and scaling a startup.
- Mentor Hours: 45-minute group sessions, organized into four tracks (leadership, communication, product development, and growth), with guidance from senior profiles tailored to each team’s needs.
- Meetings between investors and startups: 15-minute one-to-one meetings scheduled between startups and investors.
The 2025 edition brought together 71,386 attendees from 157 countries, 1,857 investors from 86 countries, and 2,725 startups from 108 countries—40% of which were founded by women—cementing Lisbon as one of the leading meeting points for the international tech ecosystem.
