Start-up Grants in Vitoria-Gasteiz 2026

The municipal start-up grants programme aims to provide financial support to entrepreneurs registered in Vitoria‑Gasteiz who are in the development phase of their business project.

The Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council, through the Department of Economic Promotion, Employment, Trade and Tourism, announces for 2026 the Municipal Start-up Grants Programme, under a competitive award procedure and an open call with two successive selection procedures. The first application period will be open from 17 March to 12 June 2026, inclusive, and the second from 13 June to 25 September, inclusive.

The programme supports entrepreneurs during the period prior to the start of economic activity, enabling them to devote time and resources to the creation, analysis and structuring of their business idea, as well as to preparing the launch of projects with a positive impact on the economic, social and environmental fabric of Vitoria-Gasteiz.

The aid takes the form of a non-repayable grant, with a maximum amount of 2,650 euros per beneficiary; this amount will be determined according to the score obtained in the evaluation of the project submitted. The total budget for the call amounts to 100,000 euros, split equally between the two application periods (50,000 euros each), and any funds not used in the first period may be carried over to the second. The grant will be paid in a single payment, once the corresponding decision for each phase has been issued.

Receiving the grant is compatible with other aid, provided that the total amount obtained does not exceed the cost of the subsidised activity.

The grant is not tied to the funding of specific expenses and does not require the submission of invoices or financial supporting documents. The aid is awarded to support the entrepreneur's dedication to developing the project and is justified exclusively through the submission of a final activity report, which makes it possible to verify the degree of compliance with the work plan submitted. Failure to comply with this obligation will result in the repayment of the amount of the grant awarded.
